Are you relocating? We are here to help!

A free cost evaluation for your up-coming move is available at any time. Please fill out and submit the attached form.

Trip preparation for your Pet

Before a Pet or any domestic animal boards a flight, your Veterinarian needs to examine the pet to assure its health condition is good enough to see the trip through. State Health Officials require Health Certificates for animals transported by air. In most cases Health Certificate must be issued by a licensed Veterinarian which examines the pet ten days prior to relocation day.

Pet Travel Requirements

Dogs and Cats must be eight weeks old and must have been weaned before traveling. Kennels must meet minimum standard of size, strength, sanitation and ventilation. Kennels must be enclosed and must allow room for the animal to stand, sit and lay in a natural position. They must be easy to open, strong enough to withstand the normal rigors of transportation, and free of objects that may injure the animal. Kennels must have a solid leak proof floor that is covered by litter of absorbent lining. Wire or other ventilated sub floors are generally allowed, pegboard flooring is prohibited. Kennels must be well ventilated with opening that make up at least 14% of the total wall space. Kennels must have grips or handles for lifting to prevent personnel from having to place fingers inside kennel. Kennels also must be marked "LIVE ANIMAL" on top and on one side with directional arrows directing proper positioning of kennel.

Feeding and Watering while traveling

Food and water should be provided to your pet every twelve hours, therefore food and water dispensers must be securely attached and accessible to care takers.

Trips outside the Continental United States

Hawaii, U.S. territories and certain foreign governments have quarantine of health requirements for arriving pets. These rules may require additional ventilation, labeling and a shipper certification along with an International Health Certificate endorsed by appropriate Governmental Agencies. For information please contact us.

Other Helpful hints

In the summer, choose an early morning or late evening flight to avoid temperature embargoes that may affect your pet from traveling.

Place a leash with your pet's kennels, do not place leash inside kennel. Outfit your pet with a sturdy collar and two identification tags. The tag should have your permanent address and telephone number where you can be reached when traveling. Attach a label to your pet's kennels with the same information. Make sure your pet's nails have been clipped to prevent them from hooking onto the carrier door or other openings.
